Membership Benefits & Eligibility

Benefits of Membership

First Missouri Credit Union is different than other financial institutions. We are a cooperative, not-for-profit financial institution which is owned and controlled by its members and organized to promote thrift and provide credit to those who belong. We only serve members who share a common bond such as that of a community, an association or an employer.

We exist to provide you with a safe, convenient place to save and to obtain loans at a reasonable rate. And since we are a cooperative, we are not owned by a company, an individual, or some distant corporation with little interest in you beyond how much profit it can make. As a credit union member, you own your credit union -- or at least a share in it.

Who Can Join

Membership in First Missouri Credit Union is open to everyone who lives or works in St. Louis or Jefferson County! Also eligible are immediate relatives of eligible members, as well as employees of certain local companies.

Once a Member, Always a Member

Once you are a member of the credit union, you remain a member for life -- whether you move, change jobs or retire -- as long as you maintain a $25 balance (one share) in your share savings account.

How to Join

All it takes is a minimum deposit of $25 into your share savings account to take advantage of the many member benefits we offer. Simply visit our main office at 1690 Lemay Ferry Rd., St. Louis, MO 63125 or our branch at 4102 First Missouri CU Drive, St. Louis, MO 63129 to open your account.
